Cianjur – May 30, 2022. Entering the age of more than half a century, PT AJINOMOTO INDONESIA (Ajinomoto) is further strengthening its commitment to assisting the Indonesian people in providing the best by continuing to adhere to the Ajinomoto Shared Value (ASV) which focuses on the pillars: health and wellbeing , food resources, and global sustainability. Through his global slogan "Eat Well, Live Well", Ajinomoto continues to make a major contribution in improving the quality of life of the Indonesian people as well as moving towards a sustainable business that is environmentally friendly.

In line with this commitment, Ajinomoto collaborated with The Learning Farm (TLF) in socializing the importance of healthy nutrition and environmental care. The Learning Farm (TLF) is a non-profit organization that aims to empower vulnerable youth, through organic farming programs. TLF was founded in 2005 to address the lack of skills, opportunities and hope for Indonesia's vulnerable youth. They are young Indonesians who live on the streets, drop out of school, victims of social conflicts, victims of natural disasters, and those who live below the poverty line.

Through this collaboration, Ajinomoto also introduced a waste management system that had been carried out by Ajinomoto. Not only food products, Ajinomoto is also proven to remain committed to protecting the surrounding environment. One of the Ajinomoto factories in Mojokerto succeeded in reducing water use by up to 35% which then developed an environmental care initiative through Waste Water Management Improvement. This commitment is also a form of participation in the success of the Indonesian Government's environmental conservation program and in line with Ajinomoto Co., Inc's aspiration to reduce environmental impact by up to 50%. This step also aims to maintain the availability of water on a regional scale.

In addition to introducing the waste management system, Ajinomoto also made donations to TLF in the form of Fermented Mother Liquor (FML) which is a by-product of Ajinomoto to be used as animal feed supplements at TLF, post-harvest agricultural tools, education classes and Ajinomoto products. "This is a form of Ajinomoto's efforts in realizing our responsibility and commitment to preserving the environment in Indonesia by sticking to the Ajinomoto Shared Value (ASV) as the company's basis for contributing to environmental sustainability. In addition to donations, we also provide several trainings regarding the waste management system and the importance of healthy and nutritious food intake which we hope can be carried out in the lives of TLF students in their daily lives," said Grant Senjaya - Head of Public Relations Department PT AJINOMOTO INDONESIA.

At the donation handover ceremony, Ajinomoto also invited several media to come and see TLF and taste lunch with the “Bijak Garam” menu taken from the Dapur Umami recipe. Through these steps, Ajinomoto hopes to inspire many parties to carry out other movements aimed at preserving the environment. Ajinomoto is consistent in making a positive contribution to society by improving the welfare and health of Indonesian families through high quality products and services.
