Towards 2030, all Ajinomoto affiliates throughout the world - including PT AJINOMOTO INDONESIA (Ajinomoto) have two big goals, namely increasing the healthy life expectancy of 1 billion people worldwide and reducing the environmental impact of the company's business activities by up to 50%. To achieve these two goals, Ajinomoto transformed all of its employees into Health Providers. Ajinomoto Health Providers are equipped with knowledge related to nutrition, family health and also environmental sustainability which is not only for themselves but can also be shared with families and the Indonesian community.

As proof of Health Provider Ajinomoto's contribution to the surrounding community, Ajinomoto launched the MAPAN Environmental Program (AjiNomoto Health Provider Partners) in Sunter Jaya Village, North Jakarta; Bulak Banteng Village, Surabaya; and Karawang. After launching the Established Environment at its first location last July in Sunter - North Jakarta.

Aiming to make a direct contribution to the surrounding community, Ajinomoto launched the MAPAN Environmental Program in Bulak Banteng Village - Surabaya, because of its location in the vicinity of the Ajinomoto sales office. In this program, we prioritize increasing understanding of nutrition, environmental sustainability and community economic development through MSMEs. Ajinomoto will carry out this activity thoroughly so that it is not just a program launch but there will be monitoring, consultation and evaluation sessions.

“This activity is a manifestation of Ajinomoto Shared Value (ASV). ASV uses the uniqueness and advantages of the Ajinomoto Group in creating shared economic value and social value through Ajinomoto business development. In the health sector, today Ajinomoto invited a specialist in Clinical Nutrition to explain the importance of arranging a nutritious menu for the family. Ajinomoto places great care in the field of family health, because from a healthy family a strong country will grow. "Ajinomoto helps Indonesian families by increasing nutritional literacy so they can prepare delicious, nutritious food," said Darmanto - Head of Surabaya Branch, PT AJINOMOTO SALES INDONESIA, when giving a speech at the Bulak Banteng Village Hall.

He continued, "In terms of environmental maintenance, Ajinomoto Health Provider explained to the participants the importance of sorting waste at home. By sorting waste from home, residents can help maintain the environment as a collective awareness, besides that there is economic value if residents recycle waste. Apart from sorting waste, we also introduce AJIFOL, namely leaf fertilizer which is suitable for use as fertilizer for hydroponic plants in urban areas. Through the implementation of a circular economy that is being promoted by the Indonesian government, Ajinomoto processes by-products from the fermentation process into products with selling value, one of which is AJIFOL. "We (Health Providers) will continue to carry out activities like this to help increase the healthy life expectancy of Indonesian people and reduce environmental impacts for the sake of a green Indonesia."

In the health sector, Ajinomoto collaborates with Clinical Nutrition Specialist, dr. Dewa Ayu Liona Dewi, M.Kes, Sp.GK who provided information to all participants, dominated by PKK cadre mothers, regarding optimizing child growth and providing good nutrition to children. "Children are the future of the nation. For this reason, the growth and development of Indonesian children also deserves our collective attention. Stunting, which is a growth and development disorder experienced by children due to poor nutritional intake, is a problem that must be solved together. Stunting prevention is better done with preventive measures, namely in the first 1,000 days of a child's life. "So it is important for pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers to fulfill their nutritional intake with the Fill My Plate concept," said Dr. Liona Dewi when giving her presentation to the participants.

We also care about MSME entrepreneurs, especially those operating in the culinary sector. We also invite examples of MSME entrepreneurs who have successfully developed their businesses from home. Mrs. Titin Mukadah, a successful home culinary entrepreneur, shared her experience in starting a home culinary business, which provided inspiration for the residents of Bulak Banteng Village. Ajinomoto invited the residents of Bulak Banteng who were present to take part in the Ajinomoto Culinary MSME Competition.

“We are very grateful to Ajinomoto. Because with this event, we can increase our knowledge about nutrition, health and also the environment. It was explained in the presentation by a specialist nutritionist how to improve nutrition for children suffering from stunting. "At the end of the year, the Surabaya city government is targeting the city of Surabaya, especially in Bulak Banteng, to have zero stunting," said Yudhi Priyo Utomo - Head of Bulak Banteng Village.

Ajinomoto hopes that what the Health Providers and other resource persons share can contribute good social value and can be useful input and provide added value for the residents of Bulak Banteng Subdistrict and hopefully the kick off of the MAPAN Environmental program in Karawang will also be successful and provide a lot benefits for citizens.
