Masako Sajiku & SAORI Get the TOP Halal Award 2025

Jakarta, October 2025 – PT Ajinomoto Indonesia (Ajinomoto) has once again made a proud achievement by winning the TOP Halal Award 2025 for three of its top products, Masako® in the ‘Seasoning’ category, Sajiku® in the ‘Instant Seasoning’ category, and SAORI® in the ‘Oyster Sauce’ category, at an award ceremony held by the Indonesia Halal Training & Education Center (IHATEC) Marketing Research on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the JS Luwansa Hotel, Kuningan, South Jakarta. 


With the theme “Building Authentic Halal Brands to Reach the Muslim Market,” the TOP Halal Award aims to recognize brands that have successfully built a strong halal image in the minds of Indonesian consumers. In her speech, Ceria Graselda – FRA & EA and SSP General Manager - PT Ajinomoto Indonesia, expressed her gratitude and appreciation for the public's trust in Ajinomoto products.



(Jakarta, October 8, 2025) PT Ajinomoto Indonesia won the 2025 TOP Halal Award from IHATEC Marketing Research for three of its flagship products: Masako®, Sajiku®, and SAORI®. This achievement is clear evidence of Ajinomoto's commitment to providing halal and high-quality products for all Indonesian families. This is the third time Masako® has received the Top Halal Award Brand 2025 in the special broth seasoning category. This recognition is proof of Ajinomoto’s commitment to ensuring the halal status and quality of its products through the comprehensive implementation of the Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH), from raw material selection to production and distribution processes. In addition to Masako®, our other products, Sajiku® and SAORI®, also received halal certifications from IHATEC in 2025,” said Ceria.


As the award organizer, IHATEC Marketing Research emphasized that the TOP Halal Award is not only a form of appreciation but also demonstrates the success of brand owners in maintaining their commitment to providing halal and quality products, especially among millennial consumers. 


Reviana Havier, Head of the Sauce and Seasoning Department 2 at PT Ajinomoto Indonesia, also expressed her pride in Ajinomoto's achievement: "We are grateful for the 2025 TOP Halal Award for Masako®, SAORI®, and Sajiku® as the halal brands most remembered by consumers. For SAORI®, this award is a special moment as it coincides with the celebration of SAORI®'s 20th anniversary in Indonesia. For two decades, SAORI® has consistently presented authentic East Asian flavors that enrich Indonesia's culinary diversity and have become the choice of families in creating delicious dishes at home. This award will continue to motivate us to deliver high-quality products with guaranteed halal certification.


The award assessment was conducted entirely based on consumer perception and loyalty through the Top Halal Index survey. The survey was conducted in May 2025 using face-to-face interviews and multistage random sampling, involving 1,800 respondents from six major cities in Indonesia: Jakarta, Semarang, Surabaya, Medan, Makassar, and Balikpapan, with the majority coming from the millennial generation. Respondents were asked to name the halal brands they remembered most in each product category without being given answer choices. Based on the survey results, Masako®, Sajiku®, and SAORI® ranked at the top as the most memorable and trusted halal brands among consumers.
