Ajinomoto has been running Umami Healthy Cafeteria pilot project since 2011 up to 2014 at Palasari Elementary School, Cijeruk – Bogor

Activity :
Since 2014 to date, Ajinomoto together with Rumah Zakat have been continuously running Ajinomoto Healthy Cafeteria in Juara Elementary School, Jakarta and Ummul Quro Integrated Islamic Elementary School, Bogor.

Advantage of Ajinomoto Healthy Cafeteria Program in Juara Elementary School :
- Safe, has been tested by The Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BBPOM) – Jakarta. Hazardous food ingredients free (e.g. borax, formalin, rhodamin and so on.)
- Foods are neatly and cleanly served.
- Food sellers have been educated on hygiene and sanitary
- Clean and proper utensils and clean space
- Properly working sink, clean floor
- Education posters on healthy and sanitary life are available (e.g. hand wash instruction) as well as posters of nutritious and healthy food and so on.

Participants : trained 200 nutritionists in several hospitals

Activities :
- Ajinomoto, in cooperation with Culinary Nutrition Foundation (Yayasan Gizi Kuliner) carried out training for nutritionists in several hospitals
- The first trainings in 2014 were held in Jakarta, Semarang and Makassar
- In 2015, similar training programs were organized in Jakarta, Malang and Semarang

Information :
- BIO Cycle -> AJI-NO-MOTO® production process uses molasses that also yields Amina, a waste-based liquid fertilizer. Farmers then use this fertilizer to nourish cane crops.
- To reduce air pollution, Ajinomoto uses Co-Gen (Combined Generator) System. This system enables fuel oil consumption reduction of up to 90% and CO2 gas emission reduction by 20%.

Module "Nutrition on elementary school children"

Is a healthy eating guidelines and behave for the whole society is based on four pillars of balanced nutrition principles, namely
food diversity, hygienic behavior, physical activity, and maintaining a normal body weight to prevent nutritional problems.

Balanced nutrition guidelines contain cone composed of various types of food, so it is often also referred Tumpeng balanced nutrition.

Nutritional problems in children of elementary school (SD) is still a lot going on. On the one hand there are still many elementary school children who experience
lack of nutrition, but on the other hand a growing number of elementary school children who are overweight. This will lead to nutritional problems
various effects for the child, both now and in the future.

School is an institution with potential as a venue for child nutrition. Children spend most
of his time at the school. In addition, the school is also the place where the child to get an education as well as forming behavior
child. Efforts to improve nutrition conducted in SD can be an early attempt to achieve optimal health in the future.
